Drew Brees’ message to fan battling cancer will give you all the feels
Drew Brees just made a New Orleans Saints fan’s day with a heartfelt video message.
Brian Fraser is a technical producer for The Morning Rush on 580 CFRA in Ottawa. He has been fighting leukemia for a while now and suffered a bit of a setback recently. Determined to beat his cancer, Fraser was looking for emotional support to help him get through this. Fate would have it the star quarterback of his favorite NFL team would send him a personal message over a video.
Drew Brees has always made it a point to connect with those in need
Even though he is dealing with 11 fractured ribs, Brees had no problem reaching out to Fraser to let him know he is thinking about him. The Saints are the favorite to come out of the NFC this season, as they have the best record in their conference through the first 13 weeks of the season. Perhaps Brees can ride off into the sunset John Elway style as a two-time Super Bowl champion?
The Saints will be challenged by the Green Bay Packers out of the NFC North this season, as well as whoever wins the NFC West between the Los Angeles Rams and the Seattle Seahawks. Given the Saints’ struggles historically on the road, they need home-field advantage to get to Super Bowl 55 down in Tampa. It would be a magical season for Fraser and all of Who Dat Nation.
Brees continues to put others ahead of himself throughout his illustrious football career.
